Privacy policy.

What this site collects, who sees it, and how to have it removed. In plain language, because a privacy policy nobody can read protects nobody.

What this covers

This policy describes what happens to information when you use lucidpc.com. It applies to this website only — work carried out for clients is governed by whatever we agree in writing for that engagement.

Lucid PC is an independent practice. There is no marketing team, no data broker relationship, and nothing on this site is sold or rented to anyone.

What the contact form collects

The contact form asks for your name, email address, a message, and optionally your company. That is all it asks for, and all of it is optional except what you need to give us so we can reply.

Submissions are delivered to us by email through Microsoft 365 and live in that mailbox. They are not published, not added to a marketing list, and not passed to anyone else.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies and collects things like your approximate location, browser, device and the pages you view. It does not tell us who you are.

If you would rather not be counted, most browsers can block it, and Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Analytics across all sites.

Spam protection

The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which looks at how the page is used in order to tell people apart from bots. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to that check.

Server logs

Like effectively every website, the server records standard request logs — IP address, time, page requested, browser. These exist for security and troubleshooting and are not used to build any profile of you.

Who else sees anything

Only the services that make the site work: Google (analytics and spam protection), Microsoft (email delivery), and our hosting provider (the server itself). Each sees only what it needs to do its job.

Nothing is sold. Nothing is shared for advertising. There are no ad pixels, no tracking beacons and no third-party marketing scripts on this site.

How long anything is kept

Contact form emails stay in our mailbox while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can pick up where we left off. Analytics data follows Google’s retention settings. Server logs rotate on the hosting provider’s normal schedule.

If you would like your enquiry deleted sooner, ask and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. There is no form for this and no process to navigate — send a message or call, and we’ll do it.

You can also block cookies in your browser. The site works fine without them; only the analytics counting stops.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS, and access to the systems behind it is restricted and authenticated. No system is perfectly secure and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something — but the practical controls are in place and kept current.

Children

This is a site for businesses. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date below changes with it. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
